Children

We are transitioning back to in person services, if you plan to attend in person please register beforehand and look over our reopening guidelines.

LifeKids

Sunday School is on break for the summer, but we wanted to help you encourage your children to continue learning and to be in God’s Word with a video series on the Armor of God.

Once a week a video will go out via email for your child to watch at their leisure (if you are not yet on our email list please fill out this connect card). Additionally, all the Armor of God videos will be here on our website for your use at any time after they have been recorded.

We will be mailing out special worksheets for your child. Each week in the video we will give a “Word of the Week” for them to write down which will also make them eligible for PRIZES!

If you are up for the challenge – encourage/help your child memorize 5 verses – Ephesians 6:13-17, maybe take 1 verse a week. Easy peasy!

Portions of Priscilla Shirer’s Unseen, Armor of God for Kids is used in the videos. If you’d like to purchase her Kids Activity Book – Unseen, the Armor of God for Kids, it is by LifeWay Kids.

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
LifeKids

The vision of the Children & Families Ministry at LifeSpring Community Church is to partner with families to grow children passionate for Christ. It is our belief that a child’s faith is primarily formed at home and our role is to come alongside parents in partnership. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

Our goal is to engage children and their families in the Gospel to build a firm foundation in Jesus. Within a community of prayer and encouragement, LifeKids teachers model and emphasize sharing the love of Christ with others and develop disciple makers of all ages.

Children visiting LifeSpring Community Church with their families are welcome to attend class. Please try to arrive 10 minutes early to meet your child’s teacher and register your child. (Children’s Sunday school classes do not meet during the summer.)

Classrooms and Facilities

LifeSpring Community Church Children’s Program

The LifeSpring Community Church Children’s Program provides a safe, and loving environment in which children will learn about Christ. We strive to partner with parents in teaching children to know, love and serve Jesus while building lasting faith foundations.

Classrooms and facilities

Our Sunday morning children’s program is divided into 4 levels.

Nursery – Ages 6 months through 2 years. This is a snack and shoe free room that is a joyful place to play.

3 to 4-year-old children will meet to sing, hear a story, learn scripture and special worksheets/crafts. They will also have a time to play at the end of class.

Kindergarten – 3rd grade enjoy singing, stories, scripture memory and workbooks. This class is going through a 4-year curriculum that takes them chronologically through the Bible.

4th and 5th grade students are also studying the curriculum that takes you chronologically through the Bible in 4 years. This class has a story, discussion, workbooks and fun activities that coordinate with their lesson.

Registration

First time visitor: When bringing a child to any classroom for the first time, the parents/guardian will need to register them at our Registration/Sign in station in the lobby any time before class starts.

Return visitor: Your information will be in our system and so you will be able to look up your name and mark off which children will be in class.

Please have your child wear their name badge during class.

Class drop off and pick up

Nursery – This room is open on Sunday morning at 10:50. You may also choose for your child to participate in the first part of the service in the sanctuary and then bring them to play when the children are invited back to class. If you have a diaper, bottle or cup, please label it. To ensure safety and cleanliness of the nursery facilities, parents/guardians are asked not to come past the counter to drop off their children.

3-year-old – 5th grade students start their morning by joining us in the sanctuary for the first half of the service. During the service they will be invited back to class. Signs are by the doors for the different classes. 4th – 5th will be upstairs in Pastor Cabot’s office.

Please pick up your child after the service concludes and then enjoy sweet fellowship and a table full of goodies in the lobby!

All teachers are members of LifeSpring. Any adult who remains in any classroom must have a background check through LifeSpring. This is for the safety of all our children and staff.

Food and snacks

Nursery and 3s & 4s room are snack FREE classes. Kindergarten through 5th grade classes will occasionally receive candy prizes.
